Official Buried Hearts Trailer Reveals Park Hyung-Sik and Heo Joon Ho in New Looks
Park Hyung-Sik has been one of the romantic comedies’ most popular K-drama leads. From Doctor Slump to Strong Girl Bong-soon, he is a pro at playing the silly lead whose life comes together when the right girl arrives in his life. However, the 33-year-old is finally ready to take on challenges with some edgy characters that will allow him to explore diverse acting traits.
In Buried Hearts, Park Hyung-Sik’s character, Seo Dong Joo, endows steely determination. He has been a loyal worker for far too long and secretly wishes for the opportunity that will be his ladder to success.
Heo Joon Ho’s Character is the “Ultimate Villain” of K-drama
Another interesting character in the drama is Heo Joon Ho’s Yum Jang Sun. Teased as K-dramas’s ‘ultimate villain’, Yum Jang Sun is an ultra-rich professor whose connections are everywhere. Yum Jang Sun was also the former head of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).
Hence, he has developed a network of resources with whom he can make the impossible happen without anybody knowing about it. The professor also plays a vital role in making politicians powerful and controlling what happens in his city. With unbound power comes fatal flaws of character. It seems like Yum Jang Sun displays narcissistic behavior and enjoys manipulating people around him.
Per the synopsis, Buried Hearts is based on a mysterious plot where a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won (approximately $1.4 billion) gets into a man’s hands. The money trail ends up causing a murder and a shocking hacking.
