Our Fall 2022 Runway Report has a trend for every mood. The fashion runways delivered a plethora of personas for you to try on, depending on your mood. From all-black and earth tones to all-over prints and rainbow hues, the signals sent from the runways for fall were clear. The hybridisation of two or more seemingly distant and irreconcilable worlds or styles is the way to go this season.

Let’s take a look at everything that’s buzzing this season, the must-know fall 2022 trends worth dabbling in ahead. 

School Girl

Class is now in session, and the lesson for today is how to wear the new varsity uniform. Think two-piece skirt suits, tartan pleated skirts, cropped knits and logo-printed T-shirts.

Y2K Reigns

With low-rise waists, micro-minis, all-over denim and trompe-l’oeil visible underwear, the 2000s are back with a vengeance. The hottest brands and labels are reviving the golden age of fashion’s “love it or hate it” decade and reinventing the Y2K aesthetic.

All Black and Leather

Head-to-toe black outfits were leading the way on the runways this season. A fall staple, this simple yet edgy look will never go out of fashion.

Corsets

The new-age corset introduces structured lines to sensual, flowing gowns for a trend that highlights the contrast and defines a contemporary feminine silhouette.

Faux Fur

Faux furs don’t feel decidedly fresh but ignore them at your peril. Massive coats are still riding high, from Saint Laurent to Celine, faux fur is the ethical approach to this luxurious trend. The standout piece is eternal, and don’t be afraid to layer up and mix textures. Being colourful, cool and decidedly OTT is the goal here.

Tank Tops

There’s something delightfully decadent about wearing impeccably made and never-boring basics. Chloé, Bottega Veneta and Prada decided to produce an elevated take on pristine white vests this season, forgoing casual in favour of chic, where tanks sported the brand’s triangular logos.
